Robert Coleman has a book entitled The Master Plan of Evangelism. In it he says this: “Evangelism best occurs out of the overflow of our relationship with Jesus.” Witnessing takes God’s love and power flowing through us onto others. The Christian who prays, reads the Bible, and is obedient to the Holy Spirit is a person who cannot be silent for God.
Ezra walks out on the platform and preaches the word and reads the scriptures. You also have a platform. It is your testimony. Do you have trouble obeying the voice of spiritual authority? If you do, God can never really use you. People addicted to their self cannot be servants of God. They are slaves to their flesh. They are drowning in the deep water. Fighting to stay afloat based on the decisions they make and trying to live life their way instead of God’s way. They have tossed out every reason, every justification, every excuse why they cannot witness to anyone, and they call themselves Christians.
Malachi 3:6 says:”I the LORD do not change.”
Isaiah 40:8 says: “The grass withers and the flowers fall but the word of our God stands forever.” God’s Word is eternal. His Word is truth. His Word is the only and final authority. GOD DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR EXCUSES! If you are not winning people for Jesus, you are living your life stuck in stagnant waters. Stagnant water leads to death. There is no flow in your life. There is no love for others, there is no evidence of a relationship with Jesus Christ or that the Holy Spirit lives within you. Listening to Christian music is great. Reading your Bible is great too but we are called to be obedient, to live our lives in every way just like Jesus did.
John 10:3 says: The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. This means that God knows every soul that comes to him.
