Everyone is a leader of someone but to be a good leader, you have to be a good follower. I believe John Maxwell said that.

The cost of following Christ is giving up ALL control of your “self” in complete obedience to him. Luke 9:23

*People are always watching you. Kids and teenagers look up to you or want to be like you. Adults watch you to see if your walk matches your talk. 1 Corinthians 11:1
What does the way you live your life say about you?

*We are called to go and make disciples. Our whole life is designed to glorify God and lead others to Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:5
We should be examples that people WANT to follow.

*Live a life that is beyond reproach. Remember your teachers and live according to Scripture. 2 Timothy 3:10-16

*Do not let the power of your influence go to your head. Pride is a dangerous thing. Your heart is deceitful. Romans 12:3

*You will never be greater than your teacher. Matthew 10:24

The ultimate goal of a disciple is to be like his master. Learn all you can from teachers, preachers, Jesus, and the Bible. Teach it to those God has allowed you to influence.

*God protects us from knowing the full impact of our influence so that we may be guarded from pride and boasting of ourselves. Rejoice that God has chosen to use you as a vessel, humble and broken so that the love of Christ flows to those in the range of your influence.
