One such smartphone app is Key Ring.
A lot of people collect member cards, store cards, restaurant cards, etc. and either overstuff their wallets with them or they collect so many key fobs that they can’t find their keys on their key ring.
Key Ring takes the idea of your key ring and allows you to save all those key fobs or cards on their app. You download the app from the app store or play store and get your cards ready.
If your card has a barcode on the back of it, Key Ring will scan your card and automatically save the card information. If your card does not have a barcode, you will have to manually enter the card information into your phone. It does not take long at all.
Now, when you are in your favorite store or restaurant, you can just open the app to the card that you want to use. The clerk at the store will scan the card’s barcode from your phone, or they will type in the number from the card info stored in the app.
This does create a problem. Because Key Ring keeps all your cards info in their app, what do you do with all of the cards or key fobs that you have? I took all of mine to the recycle bin.
I seem to always be collecting store cards or key fobs. Every new card or key fob is just another entry into the Key Ring app. The more cards that you store in the app, the less cards or key fobs you actually have to carry around. Your wallet and key ring will thank you.
