I missed being with you yesterday. I can’t wait to see you at our Wednesday gathering.
We are coming up on the end of our Unstoppable series. Our Christmas service will be the last of our current series. It is hard to believe that we are at the end of 2014.
Here is a question that I would love for you to answer on our FaithPoint Facebook page: What has God done in you and through you in 2014? Maybe you need prayer or God has revealed some things to you that need to change in your life. That is good. That is a step forward in your progression to conforming to the image of Jesus. You should not be the same person now that you were when we started God of This City back in January. We want everyone to grow, mature and become everything that God created them to be. How can we help you?
We want to hashtag 2015. So, to help you do this we have created a few hashtags for you to use. We want you to use them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Here they are:
We want to be able to follow what God is doing in you, your family, and in our church. The best way to do this is to follow the hashtags so that we will not miss one post from our church.
There will be other blog posts explaining the hashtags. You can look for those in the next few weeks.
I want 2015 to be a year of prayer for FaithPoint.
I believe that we will see change in our church, change in our city, and we will see God move in glorious ways that will give us a sense of awe. We have not yet begun to see God work in Middle Georgia. It is time for us to humble ourselves and get on our faces before our Heavenly Father and ask Him to do what we cannot do ourselves. Redeem the lost in Middle Georgia.
You may not want to believe this but our city and the surrounding cities are experiencing moral depravity on a large scale. We are praying that God raise us up to be the field workers that the harvest so desperately needs.
Ask God to give you eyes to see the people around you the way that He sees them. Ask Him to break your heart for the lost and hurting.
I believe that 2015 is going to be a year that challenges us, changes us, and conforms us more to the image of Christ than ever before.
We are going to be more bold and courageous because we know who our Heavenly Father is, we walk in the authority of our Redeemer King, Jesus and we are led and guided by the Holy Spirit.
I want to leave you with these verses today:
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
I LOVE MY CHURCH!
